Meet Jeremy
Jeremy graduated with his master's degree in Counseling Psychology from Alaska Pacific University and completed his training in Anchorage, Alaska in 2009. He is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, and has practiced counseling in a variety of areas. He has worked with children, adolescents and adults with depression, anxiety, bi-polar disorder, PTSD, OCD, schizophrenia and addictions. Additionally he has experience in family and relationship counseling. He has also worked with clients who were suicidal and who were transitioning out of hospitalization. Jeremy currently lives in the Boise, ID area with his wife and their four children. Jeremy’s formal training is in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with a person-centered approach, but he also uses many other therapies such as Brief Therapy, Adlerian Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy that allow clients to move at their own pace. He also works with clients who wish to incorporate their personal religious or spiritual beliefs into their counseling experience. He believe clients often need help changing their self view. For example, doing something you regret doesn’t mean you are a mistake. It simply means you made a mistake. Jeremy works with clients in an empathetic manner to help combat unhealthy thinking patterns and to help the client's thought process move in a more healthy direction.
